H.E. Haji Allahshükür Hummat Pashazade, Sheikh ul-Islam and Grand Mufti of the Caucasus will be the guest of the Crans Montana Forum on next October 2013 in Brussels

On the occasion of the forthcoming Crans Montana Forum to take place in Brussels on October 16 to 19, Amb. Jean-Paul Carteron will host H.E. Haji Allahshükür Hummat Pashazade, Sheikh ul-Islam and Grand Mufti of the Caucasus.

The Cucasus Region includes his native Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Ingushetia, Chechnya, Karachay–Cherkessia, and Adygea in the Russian Federation.

Allahshükür Pashazade also chairs the Religious Council of the Caucasus and is a member of the Board of the World Islamic Congress. He was elected co-chair of CIS Interreligious Council in 2004.

Janvier 1990 : LES AS DE COEUR - Jean-Paul Carteron crée, sous sa présidence, la fondation suisse pour le don d'organes

C'est au cours de l'année 1990 que l'Amb. Jean-Paul Carteron a pris l'initiative de créer à Sion (VS) où fut installé le siège pour toute la Suisse, la Fondation suisse LES AS DE COEUR dont l'action était entièrement consacrée à la promotion du don des organes afin de pouvoir sauver des vies par la greffe.

Son initiative, immédiatement saluée par M. Jean-Pascal Delamuraz Président de la Confédération suisse, fut très sérieusement soutenue et appuyée par le Département de la Santé Publique dont le Ministre M. Raymond Defferr s'impliqua dès le départ. Un greffé du coeur emblématique s'associa au processus M. Louis Caloz de Venthône (VS) ainsi que deux éminents professeurs de médecine, le Dr. Mosimann du CHUV de Lausanne et le Dr. Turina du CHU de Zürich.

En moins de trois mois ce furent plus de 300.000 cartes qui furent distribuées sur le territoire de la Confédération grâce à l'entremise active des pharmaciens.

Ces cartes, à porter sur soi, mentionnent la volonté post mortem de l'intéressé, en cas d'accident, de voir ses organes mis à la disposition d'un receveur bénéficiant de la compatibilité nécessaire.

C'est en effet le plus bel acte post mortem qu'un homme ou une femme peut faire : sauver une vie !

 

Le Président de la République de Hongrie décore Jean-Paul Carteron de l'Ordre national du Mérite

Le Président de la Hongrie décerne à Jean-Paul Carteron la plus haute distinction de son pays en présence de M. Peter Medgyessy, ancien Premier Ministre et du Bâtonnier Jean-René Farthouat représentant l'Ordre des Avocats à la Cour de Paris.

Il s'agit de l’Ordre du Mérite hongrois (Magyar Érdemkereszt) qui est de nos jours la plus haute distinction décernée par le Chef de l'Etat. L’Ordre fut fondé en 1922 par Miklós Horthy, Régent du royaume de Hongrie, en 1935 il devient l'Ordre du Mérite, appelé alors Ordre (royal) du Mérite (Magyar Érdemrend). La République étant proclamée, il devient l'Ordre du Mérite de la République de Hongrie (Magyar Köztársasági Érdemrend) en date du 14 septembre 1946. Avec l'adoption de la Constitution du 20 août 1949, l'ordre est aboli jusqu'à la chute du régime communiste. L'Ordre est rétabli en 1991.

Une mention toute particulière de la laudatio vise le rôle déterminant du Forum de Crans Montana et de son Président dans la reconstruction démocratique et l'intégration européenne et mondiale de la Hongrie après la chute du communisme en décembre 1989.

A beautiful souvenir... Mr. Lech Walesa, Founder of Solidarnosk and President of Poland and Mr. R. Schuster, President of the Slovak Republic are presented with the PRIX DE LA FONDATION by HSH Prince Albert of Monaco during a session of the Crans Montana Forum.

Abdelaziz Bouteflika, immediately after his election in 1999 paid his first two visits abroad to Switerland to attend the Crans Montana Forum and a few months later to Monaco to attend again ...the extraordinary session of the Crans Montana Forum taking place in the Principality. His Government was not yet appointed. Around him, a number of "Advisors" - who will become Ministers - were joining intensively all the discussions of the Forum.

On the occasion of this visit, HSH Prince Rainier III invited President Bouteflika to join him  at the Opera for the Gala evening scheduled on the National Day of Monaco.

President Kucan of Slovenia was also among my guests at the Monaco Forum. The three heads of State attended together the Opera.

Bronislav Geremek was among my best and oldest friends. He invited me, Jacques Kosciusko-Morizet and Prince of Liechtenstein to visit Poland a few days after the collapse of communism. He came to Monaco, on the occasion of a very oustanding Forum to be presented with the Prix de la Fondation. Co-founder of Solidarnosk, he remains with Lech Walesa among the builders of the new Democratic Europe.

Federico Mayor, the Director General of UNESCO enlightened the Forum for years ! He has always been among the most brilliant participants !

Une très grande dame dont la tristesse est maintenant infinie après le départ de M. Veil qui l'accompagna à chaque instant de sa belle et si brillante existence...  Elle ne quitte plus guère son appartement de la Place Vauban à Paris.

I am really very happy that, on my personal invitation, she accepted to come to Monaco to be presented with the PRIX DE LA FONDATION by Mr. Stephane Valeri, Speaker of the Parliament.

Mr. François Goulard, Minister of Transport and Maritime Affairs of France chaired an important Summit we organized at the Muséee Océanographique de Monaco.
